Kareri Lake Trek

The trek to the Kareri Lake begins from the base camp of Reoti. The distance of the kareri lake location from the village is about 8 kilometers. April to June and September to November is the best time to visit kareri Lake. The weather is great from April to June for enjoying the clear views and lake’s loveliness. For the Kareri lake trek, you require planning your trip first. The adjacent road head for buses is Dharamshala. From Dharamshala, local buses ply to Ghera village from 8 am onwards. From Ghera, Kareri village is about a 2-hour walk.

It is a freshwater lake that is minute. One might swim in the lake through the summer. The lake, however, acquires a fresh pleasant appearance during the winter when it is ice-covered, and the path leading to it is buried beneath around 3 to 4 feet of snow.
